Firefly and Truma varioheat
I found, and fixed, my first gremlin!
I was unable to control the Truma Varioheat with the firefly panel. I’d set the temperature and activate the furnace, but nothing would happen.
I tested using the Truma CP Plus panel (cupboard under the fridge) and was able to manually turn the furnace on.
It turns out the integrated control for the aventa HVAC listed the furnace, which is why it looked right, but didn’t actually work I have a hypothesis that maybe it would work if the hvac was powered on, but as we’re unplugged most of the time, that wouldn’t work
In the end, I just needed to activate the Varioheat option in the hidden floor plan menu. To get to the hidden menu you press the floor plan name for 6 seconds from the settings menu.
I still have an issue enabling the furnace from the mobile app, but that just looks like an app bug. One last note - I see messages about the temperature being synced to another zone - I’m pretty certain that is related to the HVAC integration.
Note: I received an email back from Roadtrek support today, suggesting the same solution. Should have just waited 24 hours. :)
