Filling your water tank

*** I have not tested this yet. ***

Quick HOWTO for filling your water tank.

There are two options for filling the tank,   There is a gravity fill port in the drivers side door pillar, or you can fill through the city water connection.

Filling with the Gravity fill port

For filling with the gravity fill port, you remove the orange cap from the door pillar, fill with water until it comes out the port.     Many people attest they quickly learn the sound of water as it is almost full.

It is much easier to use a flexible fill adapted with a shutoff valve.  These are available at any RV store.

Draining the Tank

There are two drains for training the water system.    One under the drivers door, and another under the water fill at the rear.

Fill by the City water connection

There is also an option to fill via the city water connection.   To use the city water connector you would connect to the hose connector under the rear bumper, then open a valve under the sink to fill the tank.

Note, in earlier models the valve was in the door pillar, but the 2023 has the valve under the sink in the bathroom.

  4. Add 1/2 cup of bleach using a funnel via the gravity fill port
  5. Fill the rest of the tank
  6. Flush the toilet and run water in the two sinks.
  7. Wait for 2 hours
  8. Drain the tank
  9. Fill the tank
  10. Optionally if you have any lingering chlorine smell, you can:
    1. Add 1/2 cup of vinegar

A handy gadget for sanitizing is a funnel with a hose for adding bleach (or anti-freeze) into your tank through the gravity fill.
